This action was designed by Bill Myers.  Bill was working on this action when he became very ill.  He had everything completed on the prototype except putting the extractors in the bolt and putting the scope base screw holes in the top of the action.  Bill was just too ill to finish it.  I spoke with Bill about letting KSS sell the action, and he agreed.  Bill sent the action to Jim Peightal to have the extractors put in the bolt and to put the scope base screw holes in the top of the action.  Shortly after Jim finished the action, Bill passed away.  KSS then received the action and started working with Stiller Precision Firearms on production.  The only major change from Bill's design was the firing pin.  Stiller Precision slightly changed the 12 o'clock design from Bill so that it could be flipped to the 6 o'clock position.  This allows the action owner to easily change from 6 to 12 o'clock firing pin strike.

Bill Myers contributed a great deal to the rimfire benchrest sport.  Killough Shooting Sports and Stiller Precision Firearms hope that the legacy of Bill Myers can live on through the action he designed.
