1. A higher number of lots available to test

The vast majority of the time it will be 20+ lots tested but ELEY guarantee at least 15 different lots. The majority of people that batch test at home will not purchase anywhere near that amount of lots and so will decrease the chance of finding the best one for your barrel.

2. Ability to test velocities and machines you would not normally test

Most customers will start off testing their favourite machine or velocity based on what shot well in their barrel previously. However, your barrel is not the same today as it was when you first purchased that previous lot of ammunition. You have shot 5,000-10,000 rounds through the barrel, and now the barrel is physically different and it is impossible to predict which machine would produce the best lot for that rifle. Or which velocity would perform the best. The customer range will have lots from every machine and with a wide range of velocities.

3. Cost

To recreate the ELEY customer test range at home, you will need to purchase at least 1,000 round of ELEY tenex that will be used in the test process.

4. Ammunition will be available at the ELEY customer test range
